Marra Table
Deadgood // 2017
Deadgood asked us to design a range of occasional tables which could be efficiently manufactured, easily assembled and simply reconfigured into bespoke sizes. We were drawn to joints, Japanese joinery and architectural joinery specifically. From early on, making these tables from sheet material seemed appropriate for the brief and coincidentally there was a CNC milling company just a few minutes away so prototyping and sampling were quick. Simple styling details are inherited from the method of construction. Visible notches to the underside of the table provide both an effective method of assembly and also a subtle yet somewhat familiar point of reference.
